Josh and Diana | An MCC Love Story | Akron, Pennsylvania

Planning a wedding requires an extraordinary amount of time, an extreme amount of patience and a ton of effort. When I arrived at the Neffsville Mennonite Church in Akron and then later at the Welcoming Place in Ephrata, it was very apparent that Diana (and Josh, but mostly Diana…ha!) put a lot of thought and energy into planning their big day. Every detail was perfectly constructed by the bride and groom and their closest friends and family. It was amazing to see all of the attention to detail! The ceremony was beautiful and the decor eclectic, a unique collection of maps and travel items that perfectly displayed their biggest passion.

Josh and Diana met at and work for MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) in Akron, Pennsylvania. MCC is a relief, peace and development organization that is a world-wide, non-profit ministry which provides resources for and fills needs of hurting people all across the globe. Josh drives truck around the USA delivering shipments of goods to be shared with those in need.  Diana is the communications director for the east coast regional office and does a phenomenal job. They both play vital rolls at MCC, they both love what they do and they both simply adore one another. After some apprehension and reluctance from Diana, the two were encouraged by a fellow co-worker and friend (also my neighbor and Diana’s maid of honor!) to get to know each other better and as their friendship grew over time, Josh asked Diana to be his wife. Both share a love of travel and have been so many places for work and for fun. Diana has even served across the ocean in the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso. I’m sure you agree that the design and theme surrounding their wedding was a perfect fit.

Diana and Josh, you did a fantastic job creating all the big -and little- details for your wedding day that made it so special. I’m so proud of you both and thrilled that I was given the opportunity to witness it all, working side by side with you along the way. Your journey is special and unique to you both and moving forward, you will be a blessing not only to those around you, but to so many around the world!
